ABOUT US

 The Moray Coast Convention commenced as Keswick in Buckie in 1986 and was the vision of the Rev Robert Morton who felt the need for teaching and spiritual growth within the local community. Robert was at that time the minister of the Buckie Methodist Church which became the original home of the convention. Since then it relocated to the North Church (Church of Scotland) in Cluny Square, and now is held in the Baptist Church in Cluny Place, Buckie. 

The aim of the Moray Coast Convention is to deepen the faith of Christians in the local community and beyond, and to share the good news with everyone.   

An excellent aspect of the convention is the promotion and strengthening of unity within the local Churches, a clear witness to the surrounding area of the love of God at work.

The Convention is managed by a local committee from a variety of Christian traditions. 

Priorities

Hearing God’s Word: 

The scriptures are the foundation for the church’s life, growth and mission, and MCC is committed to preach and teach God’s Word in a way which is faithful to scripture and relevant to Christians of all ages and backgrounds.

Becoming like God’s Son:

From its earliest days the Keswick movement has encouraged Christians to live godly lives in the power of the Spirit, to grow in Christ-likeness and to live under his Lordship in every area of life. This is God’s will for his people in every culture and generation.

Serving God’s Mission:

The authentic response to God’s Word is obedience to his mission, and the inevitable result of Christ-likeness is sacrificial service. MCC seeks to encourage committed discipleship in family life, work and society, and energetic engagement in the cause of world mission.
